      So New Year’s Eve has come & gone.  And as things tend to be a whirlwind during this time, I realized that maybe it would best if I took a step back and take stock of my current situation.

     It’s been a long and uneven 2017.   For a good part of the year, it seemed like I was stuck in some kind of rut.  Like there was a cloud of depression and doldrum following me around.

     So, getting the Rogue Hearts charity fully functional was one of the biggest highlights of my year.  I felt having Rogue Hearts gave me a sense of purpose, & fortunately, I was able to salvage a few things including this charity in an otherwise relatively down season.

     Now that the sentimental part is over, let’s get to work.  For me, I’ve set two (2) modest goals for the year:

1. Quadruple the monies I have raised and donated last year; 
2. Acquire a few thousand followers on my social media, namely, Instagram

      If I miraculously reach these goals in less or half the time, then I will try to double it, but at the very least, I left this world in 2018 far better than 2017.  So, if you haven’t yet, kindly add @roguehearts01 on social media (IG & FB); if you haven’t, please donate some to our seed budget, so we can start ramping up our events and production values and raise even more money.

     At $10, $20, $50, $100, etc., these amounts will go a long way in funding our initial goals to finish setting up shop and conceptualizing our fundraiser tactics & strategy.

THE CONTEST

     Now, our second primary goal is to acquire enough followers and give us a little more credibility with our guests and donors.  On that note, we’ve launched a contest that is already underway.  Just go to our Instagram (IG) page @roguehearts01 and check it out.

     The rules are simple;

     Originally, we deemed the contest to last 7 days.  It officially began Tuesday 1/2/17  at noon, but due to the Bomb Cyclone and other developments, we’ve pushed the deadline to January 14, 2018, 12pm.

     Throughout the duration of the contest, we may add a few more prizes.  Therefore, every entrant has a chance to win for each prize being drawn, so everyone has a chance to win more for their entry(s):

WHAT’S NEW IN 2018

ROGUE HEARTS FOUNDATION

     Last year, I started my own charity- I throw a lot of events for a living, (with my events company Rogue Nights) so I figured why not raise money for charity while we’re at it, & for other charities that most everyone can support.  And integrated together, it is my hope that both my events company and nonprofit can support each other with the different resources each brings to the table and grow together in order to throw a plethora of events of ever-expanding production and, in the process, do a lot of good for various charities and our society, in general.

MODE CULTURE MAGAINE

     The tail end of 2017 is when I launched my online lifestyle magazine Mode Culture , featuring what is new, trendy or noteworthy in art, music, food, tech, entertainment and anything else that defines our lives today.  Mode will also help me gain better traction, visibility, access and conversation with my friends and guests.

      Also, integrated with Rogue Nights and Rogue Hearts, all three serve as my platform trinity to facilitate my own message and legacy, of pursuing our dreams and living life to the fullest, but also making sure we leave this world a better place than when we inherited it.

      On January 23, 2018, we are hosting a NY launch event for Mode at The Mondrian on Park Avenue.  The invite is at the end of this post.  We hope you can make it.  Feel free to bring/invite other cool friends & associates.
